Here in Central Florida we have amazing, educated, compassionate women, to assist and support you and your new growing family.

Lactation Consultants provide support to nursing mothers throughout the nursing experience. They help new moms get started breastfeeding and also assist with breastfeeding concerns and difficulties. As described by La Leche League International, "The term lactation consultant loosely refers to anyone who is working in the field of lactation, either as a volunteer or as a professional, but only the letters IBCLC after an individual's name identifies that person with a recognized standard of independently measured competency in lactation."

LLLI also offers a Peer Counselor Certification for those wishing to support, protect and encourage breastfeeding. The purpose of the Peer Counselor Program is to provide ongoing access to breastfeeding information and often mother-to-mother support within the community through those who take a special interest in breastfeeding.

Postpartum Doulas are trained to offer families evidence-based information and support on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents. They may also help with light housework, fix a meal and help incorporate an older child into this new experience.

Your body may be different after having a baby. But, with a little patience and consistent exercise, you can get back into shape. Having a baby means a lot of things: losing sleep, learning how to hold a tiny person correctly and dealing with the weight you gained during your pregnancy. As you try to get your new routine down, exercise may seem like that last thing you feel like doing. But, being active now is more important than ever because it helps raise metabolism, shed extra weight, provides much-needed energy and helps reduce stress and tension.
